Pride for MADE IN NIGERIA products, when?

 

            We will be very close to the truth to agree that we Nigerians are smitten by foreign made products, big brands, big name products and expensive gabs. Its a well known fact that we been ranked very high when it comes to people who love to splash the cash. 

      

We have forgotten that for name brands to become big brands, it was not accomplished in a day, someone dug in and worked to see it become that. Celebrities from other countries create brands that become big simply because the celeb is big already. We have scores of celebs who are doing great things in Africa and I think they should be the ones to pioneer made in Nigeria brands.

  

 For made in Nigeria products to get big like other brands from other countries we need to add value to them and treat them with some respect, how do u expect other countries to respect and buy your products when you don't even show respect for these products. question is how do we make our products become big brands and help improve our GDP:

 

a)Government will have to ban import on products we produce in Nigeria

 

b)Get businesses overseas who wants our raw materials to build industries in Nigeria so that we will be able to stay closer to the production of these goods and in time learn how to produce better finished products

 

c)Arrange seminars and invite people with the technical know-how to teach our skilled producers how to finish better, because we already know we got the work force that are  ready to work

 

d)We can buy the machinery needed to get products done in a better, faster way so that we can achieve high quality products. Look at the much we have accomplished with crude products, showing promise that we will be able to do even better with better machinery.

 

e)Celebrities should rock made in Naija outfit with pride. for example, Dbanj had a tailor who was a friend of mine that makes his jackets in Lagos, and even during interviews he gives a shout to him when asked what he is wearing. Is that not a thing of joy when you hear that such things are produced in Naija and worn with so much pride?

 

f)We need better business developers to come in and brand our products in a better light. BIZHELP will be happy to work with you in that regard.

 

g) You can never under estimate the power of good advertising, so we need good adverts to get our message of good products into any ear that will want to listen.

 

h) The government will also need to assist producers with infrastructures needed for easier production. Thanks to the GJ regime, work is being done in that sector. We hear of production houses and uninterrupted power supply being made available in a few states and the federal level. More grease to your elbow His Excellency.
