Why am I doing this?

A lot of people have written me on my Facebook account asking why I have set up a free blog trying to advice Nigerians to do business better. They have argued that a lot of Nigerians does not support anything done online, they also argue that Nigerians believe that they are naturally good in business so do not need advice, they also say that I am giving away all my ace in business and there will be no need for people to contact me for my services when I have given them tips of what to do.

I think there last point came as a result of the extensive write-up we did on businesses available under agriculture. But I am not at all phased by what they think. In the weeks that follow I will be highlighting over 100 little businesses available for investors to go into in Nigeria. So keep reading my blog and you will be better informed.

The fact still remains that some business cannot be done without the help of a professional, as much as you will try to start the business you will never take it to the standard I can imagine it to get to, so I say to those who have such negative thinking, thanks for your concern but I still got my ace

But why am I really doing this?

Some have described Africa as a very colourful continent. Great people, wonderful culture, good food, full of natural resources, unmatched labour, huge population, fantastic drive to learn, very adaptable to new ideas, willingness to spend and so many other things. All these points are good for business, meaning that Nigeria and Africa at large has a good environment for business to thrive.

A friend of mine opened a salon in a small town in Nigeria called Umuahia and in just a year she has rented out the big shop downstairs she wants to run a boutique because she is making the money. With a population numbering approximately 170million you will always have people to support your business if you observe the rules of a good business.

The Nigerian music industry has done fantastic business all over the world, this is why you see collaborations between them and musicians all over the world. You see Wizkid do something with Chris brown, Dbanj with Snoop, Kelly Rolland, Kanya west etc. And the good business that has been done with Psquare all round cannot go unnoticed.

The Nigerian movie industry also has done very well, our movies is watched all over the world. If you want to understand the scale at which this industry has done good business log on to youtube and go to the movies aired by Iroko tv and see the amount of views they have on each video, massive business, very massive.

people have embraced this sections of our business because they have done really well when it comes to raising standard and advertising themselves in a better light out there. If other sectors of our business can dig in and do business in a bigger, cleaner and higher standard form, then people will be forced to embrace all aspects of our business.

And am doing this because I believe we have the potential to do business with raised standards, we have the raw materials, we have the drive to learn, we have the capital, we have enough people in high places. This is the reason I left London to make a difference in my own country. And I have sure believe that this blog will help extensively not to talk of people I will personally develop their business in  time to come in this country.

This blog is a start of something good for Nigerian business, its just a stepping stone to what we really want to accomplish for the country. I know that where we want to get to will not be easy but am ready to loose sleep to see Nigeria do business the right way. The true value of a mans wealth is not measured by how much he has in his bank account, but its measured by how many people he can touch positively with that account balance.

So Nigeria, I say lets stop waiting for the government to make the country better, lets use businesses and organizations to improve things. if you are ready I am ready. Find my details on my profile, write me today for help on doing business in Nigeria.
